Port Blair, October 20: A huge Crocodile of length around 2 meters and weighing around 55 kg was rescued on 18th October from a Drain, near to the State Bank of India branch of Manglutan.
On sighting the Crocodile, people intimated the Forest Department following which a team of Forest Department under the leadership of Deputy Ranger Manjit Singh rescued the Crocodile, after a very long struggle.
People of the area, were frightened looking the Crocodile in the Drain which was very near to the SBI Bank.
However, no one became the victim of the Crocodile as the amphibious reptile was spotted by people, before it could attack anyone.
