Baratang, October 15: A Truck fully loaded with ration articles got struck today at 03:00pm on the Ramp of the Nilambur Vehicle Ferry Jetty, Baratang, due to some technical faults in the gear of the truck.
As per reports, when the truck just started off from the Vehicle Ferry towards the Jetty the truck developed a fault and got struck, after crossing the Vehicle ferries ramp.
Soon after that the staffs of the truck with the help of the local residents, tied the truck with the Mooring Bitt of the Jetty and the ration articles were shifted to another truck.
The staffs of the truck also kept a bumper under the rear tire of the truck to safeguard the truck from rolling back into the sea.
Later within half an hour, with the help of local police, the truck was brought to one side of the jetty with the help of another truck following which the vehicles, struck inside the Vehicle ferry, were allowed to come out of the vehicle ferry.
Later at around 06:00pm the truck was repaired and was finally removed from the ramp of the Vehicle Ferry Jetty.
