Port Blair, Sep 25: KVK, Nimbudera, N & M Andaman has celebrated”Sarvatra Swachhta Diwas” on 25th September 2017 along with Pradhan,Sarpanch, and other members of Gram Panchayat Basantipur. On the eveof Sarwatra Swatchhta Divas the officials of KVK and Members of Grampanchayat cleaned the premises of the office of Gram Panchayat,Basantipur and planted the Sapling of Mango and Guava tree. On theoccasion, Smt. Sebastian Lakra, Pradhan, Basantipur asked the peopleto devote at least half an hour daily to clean the public places so asto keep the surrounding clean. Dr. B. L. Ksainath, Head, KVK saidthat it is very important to inculcate healthy habits in our life andday to day work. He emphasized the need of public participation in themovement to cherish the dream for Swacchh bharat as envisioned by ourfather of nation. After this programme, the officials of KVK plantedthe sapling of Sapota and Mango at KVK farm also.
