Port Blair, Sep 25: It is brought to knowledge of Electricity Consumers, General Public and Durga Pooja Committees that due to steady increase in generation availability the Electricity Department has reduced the ongoing 1 hrs. 15-minute rotational load shedding timing to 45 minutes during evening peak hours from 1730 hrs. to 2330 hrs. in Port Blair and South Andaman area w.e.f. 26.9.2017, on every day as per the revised schedule.
From 1730 Hrs. To 1815 Hrs areas under Schedule-ICARI, AKT Miniplex, Bird Line, Calicut, Kamaraj Nagar, Beodnabad, Rangachang, Burmanallah, Chidiyatapu, part of Dollygunj, part of Pahargaon, ICMR Colony area, part of School Line, Water Treatment Plant area at Lamba lane, Rajasthan Mandir, ALWH Colony, Hawaghar Jn., Dudh Line, Nayagaon, Bargat Line, GPRA Colony & Carbyn’s Jn will be covered. From 1815 Hrs.To 1900 Hrs areas under Schedule-II Garacharama Sub Station, Japan Nallah, Austinabad, Prothrapur, Carbyn’s Cove, Brichgunj, Brookshabad, part of Chakkargoan, Dairy Farm Junction, CPWD Complex, Lamba Line, Ranchi Tekery, School Line complete, part of Minnie Bay, Shristy Nagar, Atlanta Point, Cellular Jail, , G.B.Pant, Police HQ, Marina Park, Aberdeen Bazaar site office area, Marine Hill, Dugnabad complete, Round Basti & Netaji Club area.
1900 Hrs. To 1945 Hrs.areas under Schedule-III Buniyadabad, AIR, DDK Colony, part of Delanipur, part of Prem Nagar, Coast Guard Enclave, Coast Guard HQ, Coast Guard Jetty, Panipath Road, Fortress Head Quarter, Bhatu Basti complete, Laxmi Motor Area, Pathergudda, Satellite Colony, New Pahargaon, Shadipur, South Point, Mazaar Pahad, Machi Line, RGT Road, Govt. Press and JNRM College. From 1945 Hrs. To 2030 Hrs under Schedule-IVHaddo, Haddo Warf, Foreshore Road and upto Civil Aviation Delanipur, Agency House, Garacharama complete, 5 MW Solar Power Plant area, Mathura, Bridavan, Ferargunj to Jirkatang, StewartGunj, Kanyapuram, Wimberlygunj & Shoal Bay, BSNL Telephone Exchange, Prem Nagar, Goalghar, Carmel School area, KV-I area & Murdakhari area.
From 2030 PM To 2115 PM under Schedule-V areas covered Part of Garacharama, Dollygunj, Attompahar, Old Pahargaon, ICMR Colony area, part of Minnie Bay, Vidhyut Bhawan, Electricity HQ Office, PBMC Auditorium, APWD CE Office, Secretariat, Court Complex, PAO, Raj Niwas, Gandhi Park, Chatham Mill, Chatham Wharf, IOC & MES Power House, Light House, Phoenix Bay, Fisheries Jetty area, Anarkali, Delanipur, Quarry Hill, Phongy Kyaung, Foreshore Road, Megapode, Teal House & Horticulture Road.
From 2115 PM To 2200 PM areas covered under Schedule-VI will be Part of Junglighat, Vijay Baugh, Dairy Farm complete, part of Gurudwara Lane, Bengali Club, Biggi Lane, Anthropological Museum, Middle Point, Link Road, VIP Road, Police Line, part of Junglighat and Bambooflat.
From 2200 PM To 2245 PM areas covered under Schedule-VII will be Mohanpura, Babu Lane, Aberdeen Bazaar from Ratnam Market to Taxi Stand, Aberdeen Thana, part of Gurudwara Lane, part of Sippighat, Chouldari Lal Pahar, Tsunami Shelter, Mithakhari, Namunaghar, Dunduspoint & Hathi Tappu.
From 2245 PM To 2330 PM areas covered under Schedule-VIII will be STS Workshop, BSNL Bhawan, Model School Area, Fire Brigade, ANIIDCO Bhawan area, Girls School, CCS Aberdeen Bazaar area, Supply Line complete, Netaji Stadium area, Electricity Bazaar site office, Jama Masjid, Netaji Club and part of Gurudwara Lane, Sippighat, Teylarabad, Bimblitan, Manjeri, Guptapara, Manglutan, Wandoor, Chouldari Tushnabad, Port Mount, Tirur, Templemyo & Ograbranj
This schedule will be enforced till next week. The load shedding schedule is tentative and the duration & timing may vary in view of emergency and other technical reasons/snags.
In addition to evening hours, load shedding will also be carried out during day hours only as and when required basis for 45 minutes to 60 minutes in order to carry out routine and breakdown maintenance of DG sets if any in various the Power Plants & T&D systems, subject to demand and availability of power.
All are requested to cooperate with the Electricity Department, as the department is taking all required efforts to further reduce the load shedding to minimum possible at the earliest.
