Port Blair, Sept 07: Shri B. Eswar Rao, Chairperson, PBMC today inaugurated stage-cum-indoor game shed at Brichgunj (Ward No:22) in presence of Shri Yashpal Garg, Secretary, PBMC and Smti Vaishali Rani Dayal, Councillor, Ward No:22. The function was also graced by Jr.Vice Chairperson, Shri Dharmendra Narayan, Councillors, Officials of the Council and general public from the ward. The shed was constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 7,53,000/- Shri Jagjeevan Lall a senior citizen from the ward welcomed the gathering and highlighted various issues pertaining to Brichgunj area from ancient to present era. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the Ward Councillor expressed her gratitude towards the Council for constructing such type of stage-cum-indoor game shed for the benefit of the populace of the area. She added that by constructing this stage-cum-indoor game shed the long pending problem being faced by the residents of nearby localities has been resolved. Now the populace can arrange sports events, other functions etc. in this stage-cum-indoor game shed. Addressing the gathering, Shri B.Eswar Rao, Chairperson, PBMC stated that the Council is giving due consideration to the newly extended ward at par with the other wards of the Council. He appealed to the general public to give their feedback about anything they did not find upto the mark on the field. The commitment of PBMC and your feedback would go together a long way in future and all will find perceptible improvement in our service.
