Port Blair, Aug 30: The Wimberlygunj Educational Zone organized a week long Sports and Games programme from 21.08.17 to 24.08.17 as a part of the Teachers’ Day celebration being organized by the Education Department all over the islands. In this connection Badminton, Table Tennis and Yoga competitions for teachers under male and female category was organized at the Multipurpose Sports Hall, Nayapuram. There was a very good response from the teachers who actively participated in all the events. Mr. Gyan Sheel Dubey, Deputy Education Officer, Wimberlygunj alongwith Mr. Mohammed Irshad Ahmed, AD(Sports), Mr. Winson Mathew, Block Sports Officer, SYA Wimberlygunj and Mr. Awadesh Pandey, Retd. Teacher gave away the prizes for various events in the closing ceremony of the week long programme at the Multipurpose Hall.
