Port Blair, August 29: The Local Youths of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands are all set to hold a massive protest rally tomorrow demanding removal of Self Marking System for the 27 posts, recently announced by the Secretariat and demanding Domicile Policy for the Islands.
Although the protest rally will be totally apolitical, the local youths have urged for the support of all NGOs and Political Parties.
The three main demands of youths are removal of Self Marking System from the 27 posts recently announced by the Secretariat; Demanding the administration to implement Domicile Policy in these Islands and to fill up all the vacant posts that are lying vacant since many years in the Andaman & Nicobar Administration.
As per reports, most of the youths studying in colleges will be supporting the rally and good number of local youth are expected to participate in the rally.
The Protest Rally will start from Tiranga Park, Aberdeen Bazaar at around 02:00 pm which will culminate at Tiranga Park via Clock tower, Model School, Raj Niwas, Post Office, Bengali Club.
As per reports, a delegation of Local Youths is also planning to meet the Lt Governor to submit a memorandum.
