Port Blair, Aug 24: A meeting was conducted by South Andaman Police with Senior Citizens on 12/08/2017 at Neil Island. I/c PS Neil Island briefed the purpose of the meeting and highlighted the importance of police community relationship and sought their assistance for better police functioning in Neil Island. All of them unanimously appreciated the working culture of Police in Neil Island. One invitee complained of rash driving in Neil Island due to which the pedestrians feel insecure while walking on road. They have been assured that regular traffic checking is being done and are being challaned violators. The staff of PS Neil Island are deployed in peak hours in the morning and evening at schools and bazaar area for ensuring free flow of traffic. Such meetings will be continued in future.
