Raksha bandhan is a festival that celebrates the love and duty between brothers and sisters. The sister performs a rakhi ceremony and wish for the well being of her brother, in return the brother pledges to protect and take care of his sister under all circumstances. This festival also spreads the message of mutual love, unity, brotherhood and harmony amongst the people in the society.
On this joyous occasion, I extend my felicitation and best wishes to the people of these Islands.
