Port Blair, June 22: Central Agricultural Research Institute will be celebrating its 34th foundation day on 23rd June, 2012 at Conference hall of Garacharma Research Complex from 10.30 a.m. onwards.
Padma Bhusan Dr. R.B. Singh, President of National Academy of Agriculture Science (NAAS), New Delhi and Ex-ADG (FAO) of the United Nation will deliver the foundation day lecture which will be attended by the officials of the Department of BSI, ZSI, NIOT, ASI, ISRO, IMD, RMRC, Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Science & Technology, Science & Technology, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Aquaculture, Students, Scientist & staff of the Institute.
The contribution made by the founding staff members and also those who have given their excellent and outstanding support which has brought laurels to the Institute will be honoured on the occasion.
Mr. A.S. Dagar, Secretary, Agriculture, A & N Administration will be the Chief guest, Dr. T.R. Dutta, Former Director, of CARI will be the guest of honour and Dr. D.R. Singh, Director, CARI will preside over the function.
