Port Blair, Jul 20: The Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Bank has inaugurated its’ 21stATM on 17th July 2017 at its Car Nicobar branch. Smt. Neha Bansal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar district was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The programme was attended by Shri. John Levi, Director, A & N State Coop. Bank, Shri. Casper James, Assistant Commissioner, Car Nicobar, Senior officials of the Administration, Village Captains, representatives of Tribal Council, local people and customers of the bank.
Welcoming the delegates, Shri. Raghubir Singh, Asst. General Manager has informed that ANSCB, Car Nicobar has added one more feather to its banking fold by the inauguration ofits 21st ATM services for the people of Car Nicobar. With the introduction and restoration of Coop. Bank’s ATM, the customers may utilize the ATM cards of other bank’s also to withdraw cash. He also urged all the general public to come forward and avail ATM servicesof the bank. He also asked the general public to be cautious withtheir ATM Pin and other details and urged all the customers not toreveal their card and Pin details to anyone.
The Father and Perish (i/c) of St. Pauls’ Church, Car Nicobar read theholy prayer and blessed the occasion.
The Chief Guest Smt. Neha Bansal, IAS, DC (Nicobar) unveiled the plaque and inaugurated the ATM by cutting the ribbon in presence of Shri. John Levi, Director, A & N State Coop. Bank.
Shri. John Levi, Director, A & N State Coop. Bank appreciated the efforts of the bank and informed the gathering that a long pending demand of the people is met. He further asked people to obtain their ATM cards for their respective Savings Bank a/c and utilise theservices of ATM.
Smt. Neha Bansal, IAS, DC (Nicobar) in her keynote address appreciated the efforts of the bank in bringing an ATM facility at Car Nicobar Islands for the welfare of the people. She has informed the people present on the occasion that the Bank’s Debit cards are assessable in ATMs of all banks and the ATM cards of all banks are accessible in Cooperative Bank ATMs. She has thanked the Management, Board of Directors and entire team of Cooperative Bank in making ATM successful in such a record time. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Smt. Nazeema Munir Ahmed, Branch Manager, Car Nicobar branch.
