Port Blair, July 19: The Aberdeen Police Unit today seized Crocodile Oil worth Rs 75000/- from a resident of Little Andaman in front of Mohanpura ANIIDCO Wine Shop.
As per reports, the Police Team of Aberdeen has received a information that accused K Anil Rao S/o K Appal Naidu resident of Ongi Tikrey, Little Andaman is involved in smuggling of Wildlife related things kept an eye on him since long back and today when he came a long way from Little Andaman to sell the Crocodile Oil in front of Mohanpura ANIIDCO Wine Shop the Aberdeen Police Team caught him red handed.
It is learnt that for smuggling, Crocodile Oil which comes under Schedule 1 of Wildlife Protection Act the accused has been arrested and has also been sent to the judicial remand.
The team comprising of Head Constable 910 Vijay Shanker, HC 663 V Hentho, PC 2903 Abdul Rashid, PC 2105 M Ashok Kumar, PC 3015 Shiv Kumar and PC 2622 Suresh under the leadership of SHO Aberdeen Inspector AK Singh and under the overall supervision of DySP South Andaman conducted the raid and was successful to arrest the smuggler.
