Port Blair, Jul 18: Keeping its commitment of tough action against illegal activities, the staff of PS CCS consisting with ASI Jarumba, HCs A. K. Singh, Lokeswar Rao, Bhupender Singh, Nakul Halder, K. J. Raffi, PCs M. Thangaraj, S. Baroi, Rajesh, K. Rajendran, Chandran and P. K. Mondal under the close supervision of Inspr. Mahesh Yadav, SHO, PS CCS conducted raids in two places and apprehended 08 Gamblers namely 1) S. Dilleshwar Rao, aged 48 yrs. R/o Ranchi Basti, 2) Joseph Barla, aged 25 yrs. 3) Bhaskar Rao, aged 37 yrs., 4) John Minj, aged 52 yrs. all R/o Dairy Farm, 5) Simachalam, aged 28 yrs. 6) L. Tata Rao, aged 38 yrs., 7) Uttam Gain, aged 20 yrs. and 8) Mantu Gain, aged 32 yrs. all R/o Brookshabad on 14/07/2017 and 15/07/2017 who were involved in gambling at Dairy Farm opposite PS Mill and Brookshabad near Dinghy Ghat respectively and recovered Rs. 19,910/- (` 12340+7570=19910) (Rupees nineteen thousand nine hundred ten only) on the spot. They were challaned under the Andaman & Nicobar Gambling Regulation.
