Supervising the camp, Dr. Ganesh Samadder, Deputy Director (Blood Safety), A&N AIDS Control Society motivated the gathering to donate blood voluntarily. He encouraged young people to become new donors and to ensure voluntarily non-remunerated donation. Increasing blood safety is mandated by the emergence of HIV positive and other transmissible diseases which need to be screened.
The medical/laboratory staff of ANACS and Blood Bank, GB Pant Hospital conducted the camp befittingly.
