Port Blair, Jul 10: Butterflies organized Career Management workshop for Teenagers in Little Andaman with the support of, CIAI Italy on 8th July. Around 80 teenagers’ participated and benefited out of the workshop. The session was to make children to aware of modern learning requirements and importance of identifying their areas of excellence, the suitable subjects for higher studies and their best career options in tune with the career prospects of Andaman. The resource persons were called from different departments like Mr. Ayyub Hassan, DFO Little Andaman, Mr. Prasad, Asst. Director Agriculture, Mr. Sunil Kumar, Medical Officer, Dy Comdt Rakesh Kumar, Executive officer, ICGS, Hut Bay and Surgeon Lt SatheeshMorri, Station Medical Officer ICGS, Hut Bay.
Resource persons interacted and highlighted the procedure to perceive respective jobs in Forest, Doctor, Nurse, Navy and Agricultural department. Which helped the children to think their areas of interest and parents will feel relaxed for their children’s future. Ms. Ganga Bhavani, Field Coordinator, Butterflies, instructed all the participants to avail the benefits of Training programme by selecting right career in life for their better future. The Field Coordinators of respective islands facilitated the entire program and instructed the children to choose their right career regardless of their limitations to fulfill their mission of life through the career they choose.
