Port Blair, July 09: Residents of Port Blair witnessed a massive traffic chaos at Goat Ghar Junction on Saturday evening.
According to eye witnesses a minor scuffle between a Bus Driver of a private bus and a two wheeler rider resulted in this massive traffic jam.
As per details a two wheeler narrowly escaped when two private buses were racing for passengers but when the two wheeler rider questioned, one of the drivers, the argument began, which resulted in scuffle and more protest from other bus drivers. It is learnt that some more buses stood behind the private bus and passengers were asked to leave those buses.
Situation became so serious that traffic police had to divert traffic from other routes. Finally both the parties, who had initial argument, were taken to Police Station and the traffic was normalized at Goal Ghar after nearly two hours. Further investigations are on. (Pic: Dr. Dinesh)
