Port Blair, June 22: Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, the MP, A&N Islands had a meeting with Mr. Nripendra Mishra, Principal Secretary to the PM at New Delhi on 22nd June, 2017 at 3.00 pm in connection with early resolving long pending issues of A&N Islands including non-implementation of various decisions taken in the meeting under the chairmanship of the Minister of Rural Development held on 09.03.2016, grant of additional fund for backlog clearance, fund for c/o new rural roads and repairing of roads etc., to the PRIs.
Meanwhile, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, the MP, A&N Islands also had a meeting with Mr. Rajiv Maharshi, Home Secretary, Govt of India at New Delhi on 22nd June, 2017 at 5.30 pm in connection with resolving the long pending issues of A&N Islands including non-implementation of decisions taken in the meeting of under the chairmanship of Minister of Rural Development on 09.03.2016, grant of additional fund for backlog clearance, fund for c/o new rural roads and repairing of roads etc., to the PRIs.
Home Secretary assured MP that he will look into the matter for resolving urgent issues such as 1/30th Pay plus Allowance to DRMs, implementation of 4th Finance Commission recommendation etc. for the UT of A&N Islands etc.
Home Secretary further informed MP that he would visit Port Blair either on 10.07.2017 or a Saturday during the forthcoming Parliament session.
