Port Blair, May 30: The Police Training School, Prothrapur organized 02 days course on “Departmental Enquiry” on 25th & 26th May, 2017 for in-service Police personnel from the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector to Inspectors with the main objective to upgrade the professional skills of Police Officers by relevant rules and latest judgments/verdicts on department enquiry under the overall supervision of Smt. Geeta Rani Verma, Principal, PTS.
During the training programme, well experienced faculty members, Shri T. Sebasteen, Rtd. Dy. SP, A&N Police, Shri O. Rahman, Rtd. Head clerk, Shri. K.P Aboobackar, Rtd. Ranger, Forest Deptt., Shri. A.K Paul, Rtd. Sr. P.S and Shri. B. Saigal, Dy. SP (Fire) have delivered valuable lectures on the topics like Conducting of Preliminary Enquiry and preparation of Preliminary Enquiry Report, Role and functions of Enquiry Officer, Common lacunas of I.O & P.O during the DE proceedings, Do’s and Don’ts of presenting & enquiry officer, role & functions of presenting officer, important rules in CCS & CCA rules 1955 and Police Manual. Altogether, 17 Police officers have participated in the course. The course was coordinated by SI D.K Seal & SI Abdul Manaf, PTS, Prothrapur under the supervision of Vice Principal, PTS.
