Port Blair, May 28: Along with rest parts of India, the 53rd death anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the architect of modern India and the first Prime Minister of India, was observed at Gandhi Bhavan, Port Blair today the 27th May, 2017 at 10.30 a.m. At the outset, the PCC President Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has garlanded the portrait of Pdt. Jawaharlal Nehru followed by floral tribute by all party leaders, PRI & PBMC Members, functionaries of Mahila Congress, Pradesh Seva Dal, Youth Congress, INTUC, NSUI, workers and general public present in the function. In his brief speech Shri Kuldeep has stated that this is an occasion for all of us to recall Nehru ji’s struggle and contribution and also to reaffirm our commitment to the principles espoused by Pt Nehru who was a creative thinker leader, global statesman, institution builder and a profound humanist who blended rate imagination with intense expediency.
