Port Blair, May 26: A Chennai, Vellore based Tourist namely Mr N Arun Kumar who was on a visit to these islands went to the Red Skin Beach on 24th May, 2017 and spent the entire day on water sports activities.
Unfortunately the next day morning when the tourist Mr N Arun Kumar was packing up his bags to return to his native, he found his Gold Chain worth Rs 1.50 lakhs missing.
On realizing that he might have missed the Gold Chain somewhere near Red Skin beach following which he informed the matter to his Tourist Vehicle Driver, G Ganapathi and his tour operator Mr Illias.
Learning about the incident both rushed to the Tourist and took him to Wandoor and on request to the higher officers of Forest Department they were sent to the Red Skin beach by the Forest Department to search his Gold Chain.
After searching for few hours, the tourist returned back as he was supposed to catch his flight scheduled at 02:30 pm on 25th May, 2017. The Tourist then requested the staff of Rashmith Boat, Mr B Krishna Rao to let him know if he finds his gold chain.
The Tourist Vehicle Driver, Mr G Ganapathi and his tour operator Mr Illias then dropped him to the Airport at around 12:00pm.
However, the staff of Rashmith Boat Mr B Krishna Rao then went to the beach again and after a thorough search he found the Gold Chain in the sea.
He then immediately informed the tourist Mr N Arun Kumar following which the tourist rushed back to Wandoor again and took his Gold Chain.
The tourist has highly appreciated the honesty of the people involved in the tourism industry in these islands and suitably rewarded staff of Rashmith Boat Mr B Krishna Rao.
