Port Blair, Apr 26: In order to simplify the procedure for disposal of diversion cases, efforts have been put in place to give maximum benefit to the applicants those who apply for diversion of land from one purpose to another by weeding out irrelevant information from the field Performa report. Following changes have been made in this regard.
Earlier report from field staff was obtained on 12 points now 04 points have been deleted from the report, Distance from Airport/helipad is no longer taken into account, In case of encumbrances NOC from bank is also not required. Lay out plan indicating the parking place is also not taken into account.
Further during the past three months approx 150nos. of diversion cases have been disposed off. The General public is hereby informed that those who have applied for diversion of land may contact the office of the Sub Divisional Officer (South Andaman) to know the status of their applications, which will lead to faster disposal. Priority is being given to cases within 500sqmts area.
