Port Blair, April 23: The Andaman team of Sqay, won 3 gold medals in 5th International Asian Sqay Championship at Thailand as a part of Indian Team.
As per detail Andaman’s Sqay participant Saniya Subash won 2 Golds while Bharati won one Gold.
A large number of people including family members, friends and sports lovers today reached Airport to welcome the team, which arrived Port Blair this afternoon.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, both the medallists said that they will further look forward to participate in the International Championships.
Master Selvam from Andaman led the Andaman team, also participated in the Tournament as International Referee. The tournament started on 19 April.
“It is a proud moment for the people of Andaman that children from Andaman has participated in 5th International Asian Sqay Championship in Thailand and also won Gold Medals,” Master Selvam said.
