Port Blair, Mar 29 : The Andaman Association of Tour Operators today demanded to introduce a system of issuing monthly pass as done in airport to all tourist vehicles at the rate of Rs 1000/- per month per vehicle, So that tour operators can feel a sigh of relief from the existing high parking charges being paid by them.
In a letter addressed to the Secretary of PBMC, the President of AATO, Mr. M Vinod today said that tourist vehicles are forced to pay parking charges at all tourist destinations for every time they visit the destination in a day which is very high.
“Night parking charges are charged Rs 15/- per hour for one vehicle which we feel is very high for tour operators to pay,” he added.
