Port Blair, Mar 29: The employees of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Forest &Plantation Development Corporation, Ltd (ANIFPDC Ltd) are consistently opposing against the proposal of the Administration for closure of Corporation.
Considering the large public interest and also to protect the livelihood of nearly 1800 employees who are working in the corporation since past many years, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, the Member of Parliament today met Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India at 1400 hours and presented a comprehensive proposal vide letter dated 28.03.2017 for revival of the Corporation.
Mr. Ray further in reference to the various sustainable arguments points/aspects has expressed that there are huge possibilities & potentials to explore the avenues for revival of the Corporation.
The Member of Parliament further appealed to Shri Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India to intervene in the matter before taking decision for closure of the Corporation.
