Port Blair, June 15: UNNATI in association with Industries department organized 2 days food processing training on coconut and marine based products in the food processing training centre of UNNATI, Dollygunj from 14.06.2012 for the trainees sponsored by Hope Foundation NGO and Joint Liability Groups promoted in Municipal area. The programme was conducted by Mr. Janak Rao assisted by UNNATI’s trainers i.e Mr. K. Venkata Kiran & Smti. Krishna Kumari in food processing. 25 trainees were imparted training on coconut and fish based products. President, UNNATI informed that interested trainees would be allowed to utilize the infrastructure of trainers till they have their own production centre. The trainees would be arranged financial assistance under the Joint Liability Groups scheme being implemented by UNANTI with the support of NABARD.
