Port Blair, Mar 26: A 76 yrs old male reported to G B Pant Hospital, ANIIMS, with the chief complaint of pain and swelling in the right lower jaw (mandible) with pus discharge. He was diagnosed to have a non-cancerous (benign) tumor (AMELOBLASTOMA) of the lower jaw. Tumor was of Tennis ball size,which was excised by a team of Doctors lead by Dr.Dushyant Koul, HOD, Department of Dentistry, ANIIMS. Patient is recovering well. This is the first time, such type of tumor of lower jaw has been excised (surgical removal) in the G B Pant Hospital.
