Port Blair, Mar 22: A delegation of ANCOL students met Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, PCC President, A& N Islands in his office at Gandhi Bhavan, Port Blair and highlighted following burning problems / issues pertaining to them and requested to take up the matter with the concerned authorities for immediate remedy.
Providing separate hostel for girls & Boys in the vicinity of the college, Increasing the frequency of Bus service between Chatham and Chakragoan for the convenience of the students reaching from Bambooflat and nearby village of South Andaman, Development of the existing playground, Construction of Multipurpose Hall for organizing cultural programes, seminars etc., Construction of Library Building with reading room and providing up to date reading materials, construction of permanent compound wall for college complex, Black coating of the existing approach road leading from main road to the college, Providing Security personnel in the college, Arrangements for supply of purified drinking water, Posting of permanent lecturers, Installation of CCTV in the college for the security & safety of the students etc.
Accordingly the PCC President in a letter requested the Principal, ANCOL to look into the above issues of the students and initiate corrective action for a good academic atmosphere.
