Port Blair, Mar 01: The Vice Chief Captain, Tribal Council, Car Nicobar, Late Chamberlain Paul expired at G B Pant Hospital, here today after prolonged illness. He was 78 years old and survived by his wife, two daughters and one son. His body will be airlifted to Car Nicobar tomorrow for the last rites. The Chief Captain, Members of the Tribal Council, Car Nicobar and the people of Car Nicobar have deeply mourned the untimely demise of Chamberlain.
Prior to joining the Tribal Council, Car Nicobar, Late Chamberlain was a Govt. servant who worked as Revenue Inspector in the Port Blair Tehsil, Andaman District, for five years. He relinquished the post and joined the Tribal Council as 1st Captain of Big Lapathy village, Car Nicobar. Later, he was elevated as Vice Chief Captain of Tribal Council, Car Nicobar and was holding the post as well as the Vice Chairman EHL till his last. The Tribal Council has lost a dynamic and visionary leader.
