Port Blair, Nov 30: Good news for the Tourists as well as the people of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the Phoenix Bay Jetty, Port Blair will soon get covered with a Shed, to protect passengers scorching sun and rain.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, the Chief Port Administrator, Port Management Board, Dr R D Tripathi recently said that the work is already under process and the Andaman Lakshadweep Harbor Works will work on the project.
“We are expecting to complete the work of Covered Walkway from the Baggage Scanning area of the CISF to the Passenger Hall by March 2017,” said Dr Tripathi.
Construction of a shed was a long pending demand, general public, especially tourists were facing huge problems during rainy season at Phoenix Bay Jetty.
