Port Blair, Nov 21: A & N AIDS Control Society (ANACS) is observing World AIDS Day on 01st of December 2016. To observe this day a series of activities will be conducted by ANACS with school and college students and involving general public including Panchayat Raj Institutions. For North & Middle Andaman district society organized Volley Ball Tournament at Mini Stadium, Rangat and Vivekanand Stadium, Diglipur in association with Chief Medical Officers and Deputy Education Officers of the respective area.
The matches were played at Rangat on 17th &18th November 2016. The participated teams were Police Station, Rangat; Govt.SS School, Swadesh Nagar; Gram Panchayat, Sabari; Govt.SS School, Sabari; Gram Panchayat, Shivapuram; Education Department Team; VTI, Bakultala; Govt.SS School, Rangat; Gram Panchayat, Rangat.
On the other hand, the teams participated at Diglipur zone are MSYC, Kishorinagar; Govt.SS School, Diglipur; VKZPV, R.K. Gram; Gram Panchayat Khudirampur; Gram Panchayat, Durgapur (VYC); Govt. SS School, Kishorinagar and KYC. The matches were played from 18th Nov. 2016.
The finalists from Rangat zone is Gram Panchayat, Shivapuram and Diglipur zone is Gram Panchayat, Durgapur (VYC), they play the final match of the tournament at Vivekanand Stadium, Diglipur on 22nd Nov. 2016 by 03:30 PM.
The Chief Guest for the final match will be Shri. Shyamal Mondal, Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti, Diglipur, North Andaman.
