Port Blair, Nov 21: A major fire was averted from a Chicken Shop at Gurudwara Line near Andhra Association Hall this afternoon.
As per reports, the incident was reported at around 1558 hrs and within 3-4 minutes of the incident the fire was averted by the staffs of Fire Services.
As per reports, the fire took place due to the leakage in the pipe of the LPG Cylinder of the Shop. One fire tender and one water bowsers were used during the fire fighting.
Gurudwara Line has slowly become one of the business hubs of Port Blair city and an uncontrolled fire could have caused massive damage to the crucial market.
