Port Blair, Nov 06: A case of negligence has been registered at the Tylerabad Police Station against a Truck driver because of whose negligence a lady namely Paul Mery working in Education Department lost her life yesterday.
As per reports, the lady while going to her home in her Moped took a left from the main road, after giving proper signal through indicator but the truck, which was just behind the Moped, also took left without noticing the Moped and crushed the lady.
Sources said after crushing the lady the Driver of the truck escaped from the spot, out of fear of public thrashing, without even moving the truck from the body of the lady.
The Tylerabad Police Unit has registered a case of negligence in this regard and has also forwarded a report to the authorities of cancellation of license of the truck Driver on demand of the family members of the lady.
