Billyground, Nov 01: The entire Billyground region was without power for nearly 15 hours today. Since morning 05:30am till 09:00pm, there was no power in the region just because two electric poles had collapsed due to bad weather.
Although poles reportedly collapsed near the office of the Junior Engineer Electricity at Shivapuram the department took about 15 hours to restore power in the region, giving nightmare to public. Sadly the department even did not intimate people about the expected time of restoration of power supply, which left people of the region fuming.
As per sources, only with the help of Police and Fire Brigade the Electricity Department somehow started the work to rectify the problem and after nearly 15 long hours they restored the electricity, in the region.
Because of power cut the telecom services of BSNL was also disrupted, which left people high and dry.
