Port Blair, Nov 1: The ‘Island Tourism Festival’ is celebrated every year during the month of January for a period of 10-12 days. The ITF is a much awaited festival by the tourists as well as the Islanders, as it provides the outsiders a glimpse of tradition and unique culture of this Island. Lots of entertainment activities are being undertaken during the festival.
Tourism department proposes to involve the Public Sector Undertaking/NGO’s/Stake holders/Individuals to be the part of the festival and invite sponsorship for engaging celebrity artists (Play Back Singer/TV Fame Artists/Quawali & Sufi singer etc.) to perform at Netaji Stadium during the forthcoming Island Tourism Festival scheduled to be organized from 6th to 15th January, 2017. Tourism Department will provide all local logistic support such as lodging & boarding for artists, open stage at Netaji Stadium, Sound & Light System and wide publicity etc.
Interested PSU’s/NGO’s/Stakeholders/individuals if any interested to sponsor and invite such artists may contact the Director(Tourism) in this regard.
