
Port Blair, Oct 23: The depression over eastcentral Bay of Bengal further moved east-northeastwards with speed of 6 kmph during past 6 hrs and lay centred at 2330 hrs IST of today, the 22nd October, 2016 over eastcentral Bay of Bengal, near Latitude 15.2º N and Longitude 92.5º E, about 390 km northnorthwest of Port Blair and 420 km west-southwest of Yangon. The system is most likely to intensify into a deep depression during next 24 hours and subsequently into a cyclonic storm. It will move northeastwards and reach close to north Myanmar coast by 23rd October evening. Thereafter, it will recurve initially north-northwestwards skirting Myanmar coast and then northwestwards towards northwest Bay of Bengal. Warning:
(i) Rainfall: Moderate rainfall (2-4 cm) at many places is very likely to occur over north Andaman Islands on 23rd & 24th October.
(ii) Wind: Squally winds speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph is very likely to prevail over Andaman Islands & adjoining Sea areas during next 36 hours. (iii) Sea condition: Sea condition is very likely to be rough to very rough over & around Andaman Islands during next 36 hours.
(iv) Fishermen Warning: Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea around Andaman Islands during next 36 hrs.
