Port Blair, Oct 20: Stress management programme with meditation techniques is being imparted to the participants at a workshop being conducted by A&N State Social Welfare Board with the support of the Social Welfare Department, Arunodaya Wellness centre and SAASWAT. Dr. (Smt.) Poonam Arora, Chairperson A&N State Social Welfare Board, Port Blair expressed her heartiest happiness to have Archana Didi, divine soul for visiting these Islands and blessing the islanders through Stress management programme with meditation techniques. The technique is being imparted to the participants through series of three workshops on stress free meditation is being organised from Oct 20-21 the first of which was conducted on Thursday in the auditorium of JNRM.
Dr. Poonam Arora also expressed gratitude to Smt. Rashmi Singh, Secretary, Social Welfare, for the initiative for the benefit of the islanders. The main objective was to eliminate the stress from oneself and try to sail through all the situations in life. The major concern was the high incidence of suicides in these islands and hence this programme for stress management and meditation was really need. This programme was hosted by Dr. (Smt.) Poonam Arora, Chairperson, A&N Social Welfare Board with Smt. Rashmi,Secretary, Social welfare, A&N Admn. Director Social Welfare, SAASWAT, Arunodaya Wellness Centre.
The Chairperson, Dr. Poonam Arora requested the participants to register themselves and to post their experiences on social media (Whatsapp, Facebook, and Twitter) so that more and more people get connected and the chain grows to pass on the message of Archana Didi. On 21st October from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM a special session will be conducted in JNRM auditorium for the girl child under the Prime Minster Mr Narendra Modi’s flagship programme Beti Bachao Beti Padao.
