Port Blair, Oct 18: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands has requested the District Administration to close the Bamboo Bar situated at Bambooflat for maintaining law and order in the area.
In a letter addressed to the District Commissioner, South Andaman District the MP stated that he has received number of complaints from the residents of the area mostly women that they are unable to walk near the Bamboo Bar during evening hours just because of the nuisance that are being created by the drunkards.
He said that most of the women he met in the area have requested him to help them for closing the operation of the Bar.
He lastly said that to maintain law and order in the area closure of the Bamboo Bar is must.
