Port Blair, Sept 20: The Indian Meteorological Department, Kolkata has forecast heavy rain (07-11 cm) at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar islands in the next 48 hours. Under the influence of moderate to strong Southwest Monsoon current, strong Southwesterly wind speed between 25 and 35 kmph gusting to 45 kmph and generally rough seas are likely along and off Andaman and Nicobar coasts. Fishermen have been advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea.
