Port Blair, Sept 15: Botanical Survey of India, Andaman & Nicobar Regional Centre, Haddo, observed Hindi fortnight from Sept 1-15, 2016. Various competitions for Hindi & non-Hindi persons were conducted as part of the observance. The valedictory function was held on Thursday. In his address, Dr. Lal Ji Singh, Deputy Director & HOO, emphasized upon the importance of using Hindi works in the office as well as in day to day life. He also urged all the staffs to signature in Hindi in all their application, attendance registers and submission of application in Hindi etc. He also emphasized that Hindi can be a cementing force in making India a superpower and facilitate the winners of various competitions. Dr. Sanjay Mishra, Scientist B and Hindi Officer welcomed the gathering and Mr Gautam Anuj Ekka, Preservation Assistant proposed the vote of thanks.
