I am very happy to know that the State Centre of Institution of Engineers (India) is celebrating the 49th Engineers Day on 15th September, 2016. Engineers Day is celebrated all over the country to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvasvaraya. The theme for this year’s is “Skill Development for Young Engineers to Reform the Core Sector: Vision 2025”.
Engineers play a crucial role in manufacturing, the Information Technology, Infrastructure, Power Sector etc. There is an ever growing demand for skilled manpower in the country. It is necessary to strengthen not only professional skills of engineers but also to develop their soft skills.
I extend my warm greetings to the Engineer fraternity on the occasion of the 49th Engineers Day.
