Port Blair, Aug 24: Peace Foundation, Port Blair organized an awareness campaign on “Preservation of Environment” at Tiranga Park on 20/08/2016. The event was based on the saying of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) “Plant trees or sow seeds for if any bird, a person or an animal eats from it, will be considered charity from your end” During the event 100 Sapling of various plants were freely distributed among public. The first sapling was formally handed over to Inspector Mahesh Yadav, S.H.O, A/Bazar. People enthusiastically came forward & showed keen interest in receiving the sapling.
