Port Blair, Aug 18: In connection with Azadi 70 saal – Zara Yaad Karo Qurbani, Music Department of ANCOL organized a colorful programme on 17th August, 2016 at ANCOL premises.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. R. Dev Das, Principal, ANCOL, by paying floral tribute to the Great Freedom Fighter Shri. Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
In his speech the Principal motivated the students and enriched them about the rich heritage and struggle carried out by the freedom fighters of our country.
It was followed by wonderful patriotic songs & dance performances, speech by the students representing all the department of the ANCOL. To mark the occasion essay and speech competitions were also organized.
Dr. A.K. Shukla (HOD Hindi Department) recited a patriotic self composed poem on this colorful occasion. Function concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Shri. Avinash, HOD Music Department.
