Port Blair, Aug 17: Smti Rupa Ray’s work and presentation was appreciated by the members and guests of Kamal Sakhi Manch, held in New Delhi recently. Smt Ray presented the historical back of the Andaman Nicobar Islands and the places of tourist importance, through videos and posters. The members and the ministers took keen interest and expressed their gratitude to Smt Ray for enlightening them about the culture, history, flora and fauna, and tourism locations and activities in these islands.
Expressing her happiness, the External Affairs Minister, Smt Sushma Swaraj said that the members of the manch should also take part in awareness campaign to inform people about the Govt. Progammes so that the people can be benefited. Smt Rupa Ray expressed her gratitude to the conveners of the Manch, Smt Prachi Javadekar, Smt Nelam Rudy, Smt Mridula Pradhan and Smt Bharti Singh, for their support and efforts to make the event successful. Senior Ministers and MPs attended the programme.
Kamal Sakhi Manch is an association of the wives of the BJP MPs and lady MPs of BJP. The Manch conducts programmes periodically.
