Port Blair, Aug 07: A team of Food Safety Officers, South Andaman District inspected the Junglighat market this morning after receiving number of complaints from the general public about the irregularities of the petty shop owners.
As per reports, during the surprise inspection a number of shop owners were found to be having no registration of their shops. The team also found many fruit vendors selling rotten fruits in low rates. They also found many those were selling food without covering them etc.
It is learnt that a number of such shop owner those who are not following the law before selling their products have been called by the Food Safety Officers on tomorrow at their office for initiating action against them.
