Port Blair, Aug 04: Long Pending demands of regularization of DRMs of APWD in A & N Administration and order for grant of 1/30th of Pay + DA.
The A & N Administration did not implement the assurance and commitment given in the several meetings. Earlier during strike / dharna from 16th to 19th December 2015 by the DRMs in association with their Trade Union and on intervention of MP, the Administration has given assurance on 18th December 2015, for early settlement on the issue of 1/30th of Pay + Bonus and then strike called off. But no action has been initiated so far.
Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament has taken up the matter with the Ministry of Labour and Standing Committee on Labour, Lok Sabha. The Secretary, Labour, GoI Mr. Shankar Agrawal has assured that, he would discuss the matter with the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration to resolve the issue of DRMs at the earliest.
Similarly, Dr.Virendra Kumar, Hon’ble Chairman, Standing Committee on Labour, Lok Sabha has assured that, prompt and favourable action will be initiated at the earliest.
