Port Blair, Aug 3: The Island Sea Shell Artisans Welfare Association bid adieu to Mr M N Murali who retired as Director of Industries recently. The farewell party was organized at Hotel Sun Sea Resort and attended by Mr and Mrs MN Murali, Mr Sinha Roy, Executive Officer KVIB, Mr Ajitanand, Asst Director, Mr James, Asst Director, Smt Purnima, Senior Manager Sagarika Emporium, Mr Suklal, Manager KVIB and the members of Sea Shell Association.
In his address, Mr Murali spoke about the projects implemented by Industries Department and other schemes of the government for SSI units. He also recounted the work done during his tenure of eight years as Director, Directorate of Industries.
Welcoming the gathering, Mr Hament Kumar Dhingra, Secretary Sea Shell Association recalled the experience working with Mr M N Murali. Mr K Ram Das, President Sea Shell Association proposed vote of thanks. The member of the Island Sea Shell Artisans Welfare Association also presented souvenirs to Mr Murali on the occasion.
