Port Blair, Aug 01: The Member of Parliament Shri BIshnu Pada Ray attended “Aap Ki Adalat” held at Wimberlygunj at Mannarghat and responded to the querries raised by the general public. In the adalat, started at 0900hrs at Wimberlygunj Community Hall, people asked questions and asked questions related to the Islands. They also put before the MP their grievances, Shri Ray responded to the satisfaction of the people. Calling it good initiative by the MP, Some of the residents said that “Aap Ki Adalat” is good forum where people are given opportunity to ask questions to their representative which is healthy sign in democracy.
In the programme Shri Bishnu Pada Ray displayed video in which model was depicted about the construction of National Highway working system by using high-tech technology. Shri Ray said the new technology requires minimum resources and it is cost effective also.
Minister Shri Nithin Gadkari has already given order to NHIDCL to start the work from 1st Oct. this year.
On the issue of proposed bridge from Chatham to Bambooflat, Shri Ray informed that Shri Gadkari is of the opinion that Bambooflat zone is an underdeveloped area and Bridge connectivity is very much essential. The MP informed that matter is being discussed with the defence for security concerns and foreign construction technology will be used to construct this proposed bridge. In his concluding comments the judge of the Adalat Shri Mohammed Ali Rtd. Head Master wished MP success in his endeavours.
Next Aap Ki Adalat was held at Mannarghat Community Hall in the Afternoon. Large number of people turned up in this Adalat also. The Pradhan, Shri Basheer welcomed the Member of Parliament. Here also Shri Ray displayed video clip showing the working model of National Highway using modern technology. During question answer session the People showed their anger for the poor health facilities and treatment in G.B.Pant Hospital. Shri Ray clarified that his priority was the availability of super speciality in the hospital so that, the services of super specialist doctors would had been made available and the patient would had been treated here itself instead of going to mainland hospitals. The MP further informed that he has already submitted the note to the Lok Sabha, demanding deployment of Super-specialists from central institutes/ AIIMS, New Delhi. PGIMER Chandigarh, JIPMER Pondicherry, CMC, Vellore, NIMHANS, Bangalore, Amrita Institute of Kochi, Apollo, Ramachandara etc.
Senior Citizen Shri K.P.Kunjuvalvi was the judge in this Adalat. The MP noted down grievances of the people and the charter of demands was also handed over to MP by the Pradhan. The MP said that he will take necessary steps to solve the issues.
