Port Blair, July 29: The Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Ferrargunj celebrated Van Mahotsav recently. Ornamental plants and fruit trees were planted in the school campus. The plants were provided by the Forest Division, Tushnabad. Mr K.Sankaran, Principal emphasized on planting more trees for greenery and beautification of school campus. He requested the gathering to plant trees at home also.
Mr Muneswaran, Pradhan, Ferrargunj Panchayat alongwith the Up Pradhan Smt. Bisakha Samadder and other PRI Members and SMDC members also planted trees in the school campus. Mr Dasrath, ACF, Tushnabad Range and Mr Ismail Kujur, Ranger Tushnabad range distributed refreshments to the participants. Teachers and students of class XI and XII also planted saplings in the school campus.
