Port Blair, July 26: The Chairperson, Tribal Council, Nancowrie, Smt Ayesha Majid has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Lt Governor of A & N Islands, Lt Gen A K Singh (Retd) for his support to the tribal community of Nicobars. In a letter written to Lt Governor, she has stated that Hon’ble Lt Governor, has always taken sympathetic approach towards tribal issues.
She thanked Hon’ble Lt Governor for having considered the case of the ST students in the ANIIMS with the good intention to uplift the tribal community of these Islands. She further stated that under the leadership of LG, the A&N Administration have always been supportive and positive towards encouraging the tribal community in every field of development.
