Port Blair, June 22: The 2ndInternational Day of Yoga was celebrated by NCC cadets (Army, Navy & Air Force) of A&N Islands in a befitting manner. In the run up to the event, the cadets were trained by AYUSH as per the Yoga Protocol for a period of 10 days. The cadets also participated enthusiastically in the two ‘Yoga Awareness Rallies’ conducted by the Administration.
The collection of medicinal plants, nurtured by the Army NCC, found appreciation from all quarters during the ‘Medicinal Plants Exhibition’ held at AYUSH Hospital. The final event at JNRM Auditorium, Port Blair on 21 Jun 16 from 0700h saw about 150 NCC cadets from various Institutions practicing Yoga with ease.
The cadets were thrilled to have the Honorable LG amongst them.Other senior officials of A&N Islands also participated in the function and encouraged the cadets.
